'Deepcut'
It is with great pleasure I can introduce to the world of breaks the stars of the future, coming from our very own camp, give it up for 'Deepcut'. Chris & Sy have been producing breaks for years. Chris established Krafty Kuts alongside Martin (Krafty Kuts) back in 95 with their first single 'Gimme The Funk'. This was then followed by the much acclaimed series of EP's on Ministry of Sounds very own breaks label, FSUK. It is not widely known that Chris was Martins partner in the Krafty Kuts evolution as he didn't get involved in the djing only in the music production. Together they have written some of the biggest tracks and baddest remixes to date. Chris has subsequently been involved in SCAM together with Sy, Aston (Freestylers) & Matt (Freestylers). It is now time to unleash the beast on the world, although they will still be involved in both Krafty Kuts & SCAM the future is also very 'Deepcut'. The next release will feature the new single and one of their forthcoming remixes. Click here to listen. They have also just completed remixes for both Finger Lickin & Against the Grain, so watch tis space.....
The Remixes

Deepcut 11
After a short break from the production grindstone the deepcut boys are back with another slammer. This time the ofering if from the expertise of their own knob twidling along with the help of the one and only SCAM. Deepcut Vs SCAM keeps the tradition of the label running high with two tried and tested dancefloor monsters. 'Under Control' offers some hard and chunky breaks entwined with the usual speaker busting basslines, this is a must for any purveyor of vintage party music... Flip it over and the much anticipated remix of Killer gets its release, there's not much you can say about the SCAM anthem that hasn't already been said, this is one you'll be playing for years to come......
Krafty Kuts Goes Live... After many years of djing at the worlds most renwned clubs and producing with some of the worlds elite music gods, Krafty Kuts is at last releasing a mix for the much acclaimed 'Fabric Live' series. This will feature some of the most upfront breaks tracks all mixed up by the maestro himself with his own unique blend of cutting scratching and downright partying. The anticipation for this cd is astonishing, after winning award after award and of course the radio 1 mini mix in 2006 alongside Mr A-Skillz, this one promises to be the best showcasing of the Krafty Kuts machine......enjoy.

The Freestylers The Freestylers release their Adventures in Freestyle album on Against The Grain and once again wear their dancefloor-friendly hearts on their sleeves. From the techno-punk stylings of ‘Security’, through the cinematic-string soundscape of ‘Infernos’, to the typical Freestylers filthiness that is ‘Painkiller’ with Pendulum. The album is a unique concoction of styles, pinned together in many cases by the vocal talents of long term studio partner, SirReal. However, those of you expecting a straight up breaks album will be in for a surprise... Music Piracy - Please Read A message from the breaks community We would firstly like to say a massive thank you to all those supporting the music and the artists/dj's around the world. Whether you buy the records, CDs or MP3s, go to parties or promote those parties, without your support the scene and the music would not be half as vibrant and exciting as it is today. Infact, without your support many of the artists would not be able to continue with their production work and bring you the music you love. However, times are rapidly changing, and you may or may not be aware that record sales have been plummeting over the past few years. One store in the UK reported a 60% drop in vinyl sales last year alone, shortly before they became yet another casualty of the shrinking market. A major factor in this has been the huge increase in file sharing, coupled with the simultaneous rise in connection speeds. It's not just a question of people using file sharing networks to illegally exchange music, but in some instances there are now organized websites that have been set up to sell illegally downloaded files. This in turn is taking more money directly from the producers and from the record labels and squeezing the margins even further. We realise that there is no direct way to stop this, but all we can do is stress in the strongest possible terms how damaging this culture of theft is being to our labels, distributors, legal retailers, artists, and most of all the many honest people who do buy into what we do. There are many legal MP3 sites like ours and Beatport.com that offer high quality downloads now for much less money than the traditional vinyl format (which we understand can be expensive in some countries) and we would simply ask that you support these official outlets wherever possible, and also take a strong stance against the culture of freeloading that needs to be stopped if the scene is to continue, and thrive. Imagine a world without independent records labels pushing the talents of alternative artists, what would you listen too? Thank you for taking the time out to listen to us
